Our MISSION...

Sharing Local Ideas With a Global Community

On May 19, 2018 the City of Chula Vista participated in one of the most talked  global events for sharing ideas. We are so honored to share our contributions with the TED community.

OURTEDxStory

What would happen if...

Our conference theme started from a series of questions. “What would happen if we brought TED Talks to Chula Vista?” Could there be a shift in awareness?

We believed something global could occur in a local community. We believed a, “Shift into Awareness” would happen.

This conference is about the shifts we make as a community, as humans. The shift we make on personal and interpersonal level. It is the artist shifts that happen, and the spiritual shifts that happen.

YATHANIEL TOLETE - 4th Grade Students

The Chula Vista Elementary School District had a goal to find 4 amazing speakers to give an amazing TED talk. Here is the journey of one of our speakers.

OURTEDxTEAM

As Chula Vista Elemenary School District embarked on one of the biggest city events of recent years, to bring TED talks to our wonderful city.  After the TED organization granted the Chula Vista Elementary School District a license to host an event the next task was to find people crazy enough to do put it on.

Bring TEDx event a city is a community event. I would like to personally thank all of our volunteers who was a part of this event.

Thank You!

TEDxChulaVista is more than speakers and performers. It is about a community getting together  with the sole purpose of producing a local event for a global audience. TEDxChulaVista had over 80 volunteers all witha singular focus …to shift Chula Vista into Awareness!

Thank You!
